The results and standings generated here do not always agree with the NHL
all-time records in the
NHL Official Guide and Record Book 2010.
- I seem to have one more goal for and one more goal against credited
to Montreal Canadiens. The GF may be
due to crediting the Canadiens with a goal in the defaulted game
against the Montreal Wanderers
in 1917. The NHL may call this a 0-0 game, but the only way my scripts
can determine a win
or loss is from goals, so I credited the Habs with a goal for that
- Detroit (DET) has an extra GF, Toronto (TOR) has an extra GF, and
Los Angeles Kings (LAK) has a problem with losses and OTL,
one too many OTL, one too few losses, and thus points is wrong by one.
- I lump the early years into singles seasons, although the NHL is
clear that seasons for 1917-21 has two halves, to be
- my records do not accumulate the predecessors for any team. Hence,
the Toronto Maple Leafs all-time
record does not inclue the St. Pats or the Arena. Likewise, Calgary
Flames all-time record does not include the
Atlanta Flames. Devils, Avs and Carolina are also shorted. I may later
fix the scripts to include the predecessors.
As I note errors, or fix errors, I will update this document.
